Ceramic sand, also called jewelry sand, fused ceramsite. it is made of high-quality Bauxite material by arc furnace smelting, annual output of 6000 tons. Grain Type: Ball Type, ANGLE COEFFICIENT: & Lt; = 1.1, refractoriness & LT; = 1790 °C, grain size range: 5 items -320 Mesh. Baozhu sand is widely used in various casting methods (investment casting, solid casting, lost foam casting, etc.) . It is a new type of casting sand for precision casting, coated sand and self-hardening sand. It is also used in shot blasting (aluminum, copper, steel casting) .

The ceramsite sand is a new type of man-made ceramic granule material, which is reputed as the most cost-effective moulding material in the foundry industry in the 21st century. Initially developed by China’s enterprises to put on the market. The product uses low-grade calcined bauxite or used bauxite refractory brick as raw material, remelted into liquid in a special small electric arc furnace, the liquid bauxite is quickly cut into solid sphere by air compressor. The forming and firing are accomplished at the same time. Then according to the different use of the screen distribution ratio into different granularity. Because of its chemical composition, properties and appearance, the product is very similar to Cabo ceramsite’s ceramsite sand, so most manufacturers and users have named it ceramsite sand, or fused ceramsite sand, or ceramic sand.

Production Process::

The inferior products are calcined bauxite or refractory brick, broken, remelted in small electric arc furnace, cut into balls by air compressor, formed spherical granular sand of different sizes, removed fiber and mechanical iron, graded, sieved, proportioned to form different granularity, and packed into storage.

Product Performance:

  1. Chemical composition: Al2O3 >=68%, Fe2O3 <=7%, TiO2 <=5%, SiO2 10~25%
  2. APPEARANCE: Black or black gray smooth spherical particles, the color after the second calcination is white or light yellow, the reason is not clear. Please refer to the following picture:

PRODUCT USAGE:

  1. Foundry Industry: used for foundry sand, Lost-foam casting and foundry coatings, available particle size AFS20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100,120 and so on. Can Be recycled all the time, and greatly save the binding agent, replace chrome ore and zircon sand, very environmentally friendly, cost-effective;
  2. Petroleum Industry: PROPPANT, performance better than the sintering process of ceramsite sand, but the current price is not competitive;
  3. It can be used to replace steel shot and cut shot for sand blasting treatment on the surface of castings with low crushing rate and high recovery rate;
  4. Because of its high refractoriness, it can be used for ladle drainage sand, partly replacing chromite sand to reduce the cost;

This product turns waste into treasure. It is widely used and has strong vitality. Especially as foundry sand, can be recycled many times, welcomed by foundry at home and abroad.
